The configuration connects hardware to pixels
An LED receiving card needs the configuration that describes the modules and cabinet it drives. This includes the cabinet size, module arrangement, cascade direction and data flow. The controller then uses that information to distribute the video signal across the actual screen.
When a used cabinet is mixed with the wrong file or an incomplete configuration, the screen may light but still display incorrectly. A correct cabinet file is therefore part of the technical handover, alongside the physical cabinet and controller.
What to collect with a used batch
- Receiving-card model and quantity
- Controller or processor model
- Cabinet configuration file and a backup copy
- Cabinet pixel resolution and module layout
- Data-flow diagram or port mapping
- A photograph or video of the matched configuration running
Verify after loading
Do not rely on a file name alone. Power on the actual cabinets, confirm the cabinet count and port order, then inspect a test pattern and normal content. If the system will be reconfigured for a new shape or controller, record the new settings and keep the original backup.
